My Little Rescue

There is a local home based rescue that I follow on Facebook and have for a few years. They obviously post pictures of pets all the time whether they are up for foster/adoption or if they are a lost or found pet. I will share some of the posts on occasion, but that was about it. I had been thinking about getting a dog for a little while, but hadn't yet committed to the idea. When she posted a picture of Rosie last November, I couldn't stop thinking about her. I finally decided to go meet her. She was a sweet girl. She had been found roaming the streets and no one had claimed her. When they took her to the vet, they estimated her to be 6 or 7 years old. I picked her up a couple of days later for a 2 week foster-to-adopt. I decided to keep her, although we had quite an adjustment period. We were just getting settled when I met someone and after he moved in, we started all over. She's now his buddy, too, so things are going well.  I can't imagine being without her now.  She is very calm and sleeps a lot. She typically minds well and rarely barks. Although through our adjustment periods I thought a few times about giving her to my dad, she's turned out to be the perfect little dog for me.
