Card of the Week - 3-14-11

I'm a little early this week!  Can you believe it???  :)

Card of the Week
Date: 3-14-11

The majority of my cards and projects are designed to be very quick and easy to make and will need little to no instructions other than dimensions.  I have provided a list of products that I commonly use at the bottom.

Materials needed:

Cardstocks: Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery
Inks:   Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip
Punches: Scallop Oval, Large Oval, Small Heart, Word Window
Embellishments: Ribbon
Stamp Sets: Baby Bundle, Confetti Backgrounds

Additional materials:  Mat Pack, paper piercer

Instructions:

Base of card: Chocolate Chip – 5 ½” x 8 ½”; scored at 4 ¼
2nd layer:  Bashful Blue – 5 ¼” x 4”
  • Stamped with Bashful Blue using the “heart” stamp from the Confetti Backgrounds Stamp Set
  • Adhere to base
3rd layer:  Chocolate Chip – 1” x 5 ¼”; adhere to layer 2
4th layer:
  • Punch 4 small hearts – 2 Daffodil Delight and 2 Certainly Celery; sponge edges with Chocolate Chip
  • Punch 1 Scallop Oval from Certainly Celery
    • Using Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, pierce 1 hole in each scallop
    • Sponge edge with Chocolate Chip
  • Punch 1 Large Oval from Daffodil Delight; sponge edge with Chocolate Chip
  • On Bashful Blue with Chocolate Chip ink, stamp “Congratulations”
    • Punch out with Word Window Punch
    • Sponge edges with Chocolate Chip
  • Adhere the Large Oval to the Scallop Oval
  • Adhere the Word Window to the Scallop Oval
  • Adhere to center of Chocolate Chip Strip (you could adhere it with dimensionals)
  • Adhere 2 hearts on either side (one of each color)
  • Add bow to top center
  • Add a piece of Bashful Blue to inside for journaling (I also added a small heart in the bottom right hand corner)
