Memory Book Idea for Grandkids: Celebrating a Baseball Milestone!
I’m currently working on Memory Books for my five youngest grandchildren, and I wanted to share a special layout I created for one of my grandsons. This spread highlights an unforgettable moment — his very first home run, and not just any home run — it was an Over The Fence (OTF) Home Run!
I was beyond thrilled to be at the game to witness it live. Not only did he hit an OTF home run, but two of his teammates did as well — one of them even hit two home runs! The team brought home a big win with a final score of 17-8.
To create this baseball-themed memory book layout, I used a piece of scrapbook paper, trimmed and punched to fit the journal. I layered it with a sheet of white 32lb paper, centered and adhered using Tombow permanent adhesive. Then came the fun part — decorating with planner stickers from:
-
Indiana Inker Plans (my Etsy sticker shop)
-
Kellofaplan
-
Mojo-Jojo Plans
The baseball and grass stickers are from my Etsy shop, Indiana Inker Plans. I also designed the fence sticker myself. (I currently have smaller fence stickers available in the shop — if you're interested in a larger version, feel free to message me on Etsy and I’ll be happy to add it!)
Additional supplies used:
-
Alpha Stickers: Kellofaplan Alpha Basics Vol 2 & 3
-
Box Stickers: Mojo-Jojo Plans Red Boxes and More & Black Boxes and More
This layout is a fun and creative way to document big moments in your grandchild’s life, and it makes a wonderful keepsake they can treasure forever.
