Celebrating a Baseball Milestone!

Memory Book Idea for Grandkids: Celebrating a Baseball Milestone!

I’m currently working on Memory Books for my five youngest grandchildren, and I wanted to share a special layout I created for one of my grandsons. This spread highlights an unforgettable moment — his very first home run, and not just any home run — it was an Over The Fence (OTF) Home Run!

I was beyond thrilled to be at the game to witness it live. Not only did he hit an OTF home run, but two of his teammates did as well — one of them even hit two home runs! The team brought home a big win with a final score of 17-8.

To create this baseball-themed memory book layout, I used a piece of scrapbook paper, trimmed and punched to fit the journal. I layered it with a sheet of white 32lb paper, centered and adhered using Tombow permanent adhesive. Then came the fun part — decorating with planner stickers from:

  • Indiana Inker Plans (my Etsy sticker shop)

  • Kellofaplan

  • Mojo-Jojo Plans

The baseball and grass stickers are from my Etsy shop, Indiana Inker Plans. I also designed the fence sticker myself. (I currently have smaller fence stickers available in the shop — if you're interested in a larger version, feel free to message me on Etsy and I’ll be happy to add it!)

Additional supplies used:

  • Alpha Stickers: Kellofaplan Alpha Basics Vol 2 & 3

  • Box Stickers: Mojo-Jojo Plans Red Boxes and More & Black Boxes and More

This layout is a fun and creative way to document big moments in your grandchild’s life, and it makes a wonderful keepsake they can treasure forever.

Monthly Cover Sheets - Memory Planner

Each month in my Classic Memory Planner I create a cover page.  I usually keep it seasonal, but sometimes I chose random stickers.  If you've followed my blog for long, you know that creating single sheets or creating from a blank canvas is my favorite. Each sheet is double sided.  Below each photo I'll list where the stickers came from, if I remember. I created some of these awhile back and can't recall what sticker books I used.  A Lot of the stickers are from  my Etsy sticker shop, Indiana Inker Plans.  The quotes are from a variety of sticker books.

To see how I created my Memory Planner for this year, watch my Planner Line Up Video

"March" letters are from Planything Fun Alphabet Sticker Book

Stickers from Kellofaplan's 2025 Seasonal Sticker Book

"April" - letters from Planything Fun Alphabets Sticker Book

"June" - from Planything Fun Alphabets sticker book

Vacation Planner Booklet - Madison, IN

I had 10 straight days off from work during April.  We went out of town for a few days to to Madison, a small town in southern Indiana.  We had a very nice time.  Beautiful weather and very relaxing.  They had major flooding there about 2-3 weeks before we arrived.  You could see water lines in several places.

I created a few pages for my Vacation Planner I started a few years ago.  I don't go on vacation often, so I don't have much in that planner.  Once I'm finished writing on the pages, I'll add them to that planner.  I enjoy creating single pages and special projects to provide a different creative outlet from planning.  I find I enjoy Memory Planning more than decorative planning out my week.  I will caption each picture and list out the products I used at the bottom of this post.

Day 1 - I had lunch with a friend and ran some errands
Day 2 - I had a hair appointment that morning with my daughter, then in the                                             evening I attended a fundraising event that the company I work for                                          sponsored.

Day 3 was Easter.  My daughter had an Easter Egg Hunt for
my 2 youngest grandsons.  They had so much fun!

Day 4 was mostly a traveling day.  We stopped by our favorite pizza place,
La Rosa's on our way to Madison, IN.  Then got to our Airbnb, unloaded and
chilled for most of the evening.

Day 5 - He walked across the street to
The Little Bakery Haus to get donuts for breakfast.  They were huge and delicious!
We went in town and had planned on shopping, touring the mansion
and wondering around.  With it being a Tuesday, most of the shops
were closed and no tours through the mansion.  We did walk around
town, ate lunch at Hinkles Hamburgers (more like sliders. :)) and went over the bridge into Kentucky for a little while.

Day 6 - We finally toured the Lanier Mansion, had lunch in town at River Town Grill.
Then we went to Hanover College to see some of the river views and stopped
by a discount grocery store on the way back to the house. Later we walked to dinner at
Red Pepperoni Pizza from the Airbnb.

Day 7 we went to Clifty Falls.  I'm not a fan of hiking, although I tried
and quickly realized I wasn't interested.  LOL  We were able to easily walk to
a couple of the falls and get pictures.  For lunch we walked to
The Red Pepperoni Deli from our Airbnb.  We then went back to town to stop by a
couple of stores that had been closed earlier in the week, then we
stopped by Scoops for ice cream.  It was delicious!! It started to rain,
so we went back to the house and chilled for the rest of the evening.

Day 8 we traveled back home (about 2.5 hours).  We stopped at a couple of
fabric stores on the way, had lunch at Mama Bears Pizza, stopped at Hobby Lobby
before getting home.  We got unloaded and everything put away, then went out to dinner.

Day 9 we went to one of my grandson's ballgames, then out to dinner
Day 10 - I went to my oldest grandson's ballgame and then
dreaded going back to work the next morning.

I included a journaling page for me to share some of the
                                                        highlights and our favorite things.

I did a full page for our Bingo night

And for the Easter Egg Hunt

For the Airbnb

And the tour of the Lanier Mansion

Memory Planner Page - Happy Mail

This week in my classic memory planner, I used the sticker book Mail Call and I Heart Stickers from The Happy Planner.  Although this was a fairly slow week, I did receive a lot of happy mail throughout the week.  Happy Mail always makes the week better.  :)  I received mostly sticker books and sticker sheets from various websites - Craft Penguin Planner, The Happy Planner, Amber Plans Her Day, Rong Rong (via Amazon), and Kellofaplan.

I'm really enjoying having a blank canvas each week in my Memory Planner.  If I have a slow week, I only use 1 page, but if I have a busier week, I can use 2 (or more).  To see how I created my memory planner, you can watch my Planner Line Up Video.

March Highlights Planner Page

Creating single pages is one of my favorite things to do in the decorative planning world.  I create a Highlights page each month in my classic planner.  This is where I put significant things that have happened in my personal life or in the news.

St Patrick's Day stickers are from Amber Plans Her Day Spring Essentials sticker book.  Boxes are from Patterned Black Boxes sticker book from Mojo-Jojo Plans.  The "March" sticker is from my Etsy sticker shop, Indiana Inker Plans.  I have retired the "Highlights" sticker sheets.  If you're interested, message me on Etsy and I can re-list them.

Memory Planner Page - Storm Theme

We had a lot of rain this week and an evening of severe storms with a lot of damage and power outages across the state along with several other states as well.  I thought this was a good week to use a Storm theme in my classic memory planner.  My boyfriend was also in an auto accident this week and of course, it was raining.

The storm, rain and weather word stickers are from my Etsy sticker shop, Indiana Inker Plans.  The box stickers are from Mojo-Jojo Plans.

2025 Customer Tracker

This is the 4th year that I have tracked the states where I have at least one customer from throughout the year.  This year I'm using a map sticker I have in my Etsy sticker shop, Indiana Inker Plans.  I'm coloring the states in with colored pencils.  I've since created state stickers that fit this map as well that I will use next year.

I'm happy to announce that I'm down to only 4 states to fill my map for this year and it's only one-quarter of the way through the year!  The last 2 years I believe I missed filling it by 3 states and the first year I was able to fill it much later in the year.

I enjoy creating trackers for my shop, although this year, I'm not tracking as much as I did the past couple of years.  However, this is one I will likely continue.

The map is also available as a printable pdf.  The physical stickers in my shop will fit this map as well as long as you don't adjust the size when printing.

Memory Planner Spread

This is a page I created for my Classic Memory Planner.  This week, my youngest granddaughter got her driver's license, I had dinner with a friend, I attended a ribbon cutting for a local non-profit organization and my youngest daughter and grandson came to visit one evening.

All of the stickers, except for the quote, are from my Etsy sticker shop, Indiana Inker Plans.

Monthly To Do Lists Single Pages

I decided to create a page for my planner to use for writing down the things I need to do once to a few times a year such as changing the batteries in your smoke detector, change furnace filters, clean the dishwasher, update death journal, etc.   I really like how it turned out.  If you follow my blog or my YouTube channel, you know creating single pages are one of my favorite things to do.

I used new stickers are from my Etsy shop, Indiana Inker Plans that will release on March 21st - Monthly To Do Lists.  I also used boxes from Mojo-Jojo Plans Black Boxes and More.

February Highlights Classic Single Page

This is my February Highlights page in my Kellofaplan Classic Vertical planner that I use as a back planner.  These pages I write "newsworthy" things whether in the media or just in my life.   I really like how this one turned out.  I used florals I had left over in Amber Plans Her Day Holiday Florals sticker book.  The "Highlights" script is from my Etsy shop, Indiana Inker Plans.

Highlights Single Planner Page

I created this Highlights page for my Kellofaplan Classic Vertical planner that I use for a back planner.  (I keep in my phone what is supposed to happen through the week and put in this planner what actually happened.  :) )  I used Kellofaplan Dashboard Florals sticker book.  I had fun creating this page. It goes in the front of my "January" section.  I will put on this some bigger things that happened during January like the California fires.  The "Highlight" sticker is from my Etsy shop, Indiana Inker Plans.  They are available in a sheet of black or a sheet of colorful.

Memory Planner Pages - Classic Size

I created these pages for my Memory Planner.  I didn't have a lot that went on these 2 weeks, so I didn't have many pictures to work with.  I included a graphic at the end of this post of how I create my photos.

You can watch my Planner Lineup Video here to see how I created my Memory Planner for 2025.

The top page I used stickers from Live Love Posh's Functionally Chic Orange Blooms and boxes from Mojo-Jojo Plans.  In the bottom page, I used Kellofaplan's sticker book, Family Life Basics.  Dates are from Moj-Jojo Plans sticker books.

You can watch my Plan With Me on my YouTube channel for these 2 pages.
